We are so excited to be performing "Night At The Museum" this year for our end of year production. Recital dates are Sat 23rd November, 3pm & 7pm, at the Lake Wanaka Centre. It will include over 200 local dancers aged 3-18years performing modern, classical, hip hop, contemporary & tap items.
Thursday 21st Nov - Stage rehearsal, Lake Wanaka Centre. Detailed schedule for each class will be available soon. 10mins is allocated for each item. Parents drop off dancers at the foyer please.
Friday 22nd Nov - Dress Rehearsal, LWC. All dancers to be at LWC at 3:30pm. Dancers & parent helpers at rehearsals only
Saturday 23rd Nov - Show day. Matinee at 3pm. Evening Show at 7pm.
Parent helpers are required backstage to mind younger dancers, ensure dressed correctly, tidy & escort to stage at correct timing. Please see the Parent Helper lists HERE & at the Studio which will be posted online from this weekend. 2 parent helpers per class are required for our younger classes.
Class photos are taken the week leading up to recital & on Saturday morning (schedule) of show day. A printed photo is given out to each dancer on the last week of term 4. The photo is included in the Production fee & not at an extra charge to students.
Stage make up is required to ensure that we can see our dancers faces & expressions on stage. Stage lighting washes out small eyes and lips. Younger children mostly need a little eyeshadow & lipstick (avoid eye liner for preschoolers). Teens+ need foundation, eye shadow, rouge, eye liner & bright lip stick.
